biography

The Glue is the new single from San Francisco artist, Get Lost Cassidy Frost. It’s the kind of sad, lonely song you’d listen to late at night on a long drive home.

The song was inspired by a bedtime conversation Cassidy had with their kid, whose sparkling little mind is hungry for answers about life and the world. The simple melody comes from the darkest and most tender corners of Cassidy’s heart, where their own unanswered questions about family, god, and the ordinary losses of everyday life coalesce.

The Glue was produced and recorded with the help of Shaylee’s Elle Archer at her home studio in Portland, OR. Archer also lends her instrumentation all over the track and joins in with haunting vocals during the song’s devastating, wordless reprise.

Frost previously fronted Portland slow-fi duo bed., an NPR All Songs Considered favorite once hailed as “gloriously gritty”.
